Starting from an empty factory
The customer was establishing a new router-manufacturing facility in Russia without existing insertion equipment. The immediate engineering task was to move ten electronic component types from manual insertion to an automated process, including multi-pin router ports.
The insertion and feeding configuration
The delivered core solution consisted of two odd-form insertion machines. Component presentation was handled by eight bowl feeders, one tube feeder and two tape feeders. Conveyors, board loaders, board unloaders and a complete production line were not part of this project scope.
Leon’s role in the project
Leon coordinated the project from initial requirement clarification through PCB and component information collection, solution coordination, sample testing, commercial follow-up, installation and training coordination, and after-sales follow-up.
Confirmed project outcome
For this installation, the customer achieved approximately four times the previous insertion production efficiency. This is a project-specific reported result; actual outcomes for other factories depend on component mix, PCB design, feeding method, takt requirements and engineering validation.
